Who Are the She-Shandies?

The She-Shandies are not your typical musical act. This fiercely talented crew of vocalists and instrumentalists is on a mission to revive the traditional art of sea shanties, the heart and soul of sailors’ songs that were sung to keep rhythm while hauling heavy loads or working the rigging. But don’t expect any run-of-the-mill, cookie-cutter performances. These fearless, fun-loving women infuse each sea song with a fresh twist, blending classic folk with a modern, fiery spirit.

From raucous, foot-stomping choruses to soulful solo renditions, the She-Shandies bring a truly immersive and engaging performance that will have you singing along in no time (if you're up for it, of course—audience participation is encouraged, but never forced!).
