Enter, if you dare, the Rio Theatre on just another average, probably rainy, East Van, Thursday the 12th. But if you survive the night and a machete swing or two, you'll emerge and have survived, FRIDAY THE 13th (Part IV: The Final Chapter... but not really. Thanks franchising.). Another year of massacres and another candle on the goalie-mask-cake makes it a happy 40th Anniversary to Jason. Now, as we slice and stab the cake, let's all sing-along, "Voorhees a jolly good fellow, Voorhees a jolly good fellow..."
After the Crystal Lake Massacres, Jason is pronounced dead and taken to the hospital morgue, where he is mysteriously revived, allowing his diabolical killing spree to continue at the camp where the gruesome slaughtering began. But this time, in addition to terrified teenagers, he meets a young boy named Tommy who has a special talent for horror masks and make up, leading up to a horrifying, bloody battle! Has Jason finally met his match? With Ted White, Crispin Glover, Corey Feldman.

FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE FINAL CHAPTER (Joseph Zito, 1984 / 18A / 91 mins) A carefree lakeside vacation is interrupted by the re-emergence of killer Jason Voorhees. After he escapes from a morgue, leaving bodies in his wake, Jason travels to Camp Crystal Lake where a group of friends is staying. The teens meet some locals: Tommy and Trish, as well as secretive hiker Rob. As the group of teenagers engages in drunken debauchery, their numbers begin to dwindle, and pieces of the past resurface.
