Fronted by singer-songwriter Kelsi McInnes, known for her soulful voice and sharp wit, this Northern Prairies band delivers vibrant melodies, rich roots elements, and hauntingly beautiful harmonies. Backed by Brooke Loewen, Colten Bean, Colin Munroe, and Kristy Peterson, their live performances hit the stage like an ocean wave.
Following their 2021 debut album ASCEND, McKindred Music has quickly solidified their place in the Canadian music scene. They have graced major stages, headlining the Blue Sky Music Festival (2025), rocking JUNOfest (2023), and performing at the Bear Creek Folk Festival (2022, 2024) alongside icons like Steve Earle and Serena Ryder. Their industry recognition includes being selected for the CCMA Off-Country Music Festival and Mentorship program, as well as winning the Bear Creek songwriting competition with their crowd-favourite track, "Calls My Soul."
Currently, the band is carving a fresh path forward with a series of new tracks from their upcoming album, SIDEWAYS, a project that promises a deeper, more raw, and intentional edge.
