The Safety of Life at Sea are thrilled to be bringing their live stage show to Hopsters Cooperative Brewery - Playing a mix of blues and soul flavoured rock, the music is inspired by the classic songwriters of the 60's and 70's.The Safety of Life at Sea are a four-piece band, Kris Schubert on vocals & keys, a soulful singer with keyboard prowess to match. A rhythm section which consists of Lian Wong on bass and Tony Bibby on drums who take a leaf out of the books of Motown and Stax. Stephen Helman on guitar throws in some licks from the book of Southern Blues left at the crossroads. Mix this up into a musical gumbo and you have the sound of a band that went for a weekend in New Orleans and never quite came back.
