About Chaos and the Calm:
Chaos and the Calm is a refreshing new name on the Norwegian roots scene, blending elements of americana, folk, country, and pop into a unique musical expression that moves effortlessly between the intimate and the cinematic.
Their sound is organic, timeless, and honest—driven by strong melodies and warm, rugged vocals telling stories of longing, hope, and the search for freedom.
The duo debuted with their first single “Fallow” in 2022, followed by “The Hill.” In spring 2024, they released their debut EP “Storyline” and embarked on their first tour across Eastern and Southern Norway. Their live performances quickly gained attention, with several venues inviting them back the following year to even larger audiences.
Known for their strong connection with fans, the duo has built a growing and passionate following both online and on streaming platforms. Some fans have even created their own Chaos and the Calm merchandise—wearing custom t-shirts and caps to concerts and private gatherings where the duo’s music sets the soundtrack for the night.
In autumn 2025, the duo opened for Adam Douglas at Kolben to outstanding feedback, further establishing themselves as one of Norway’s most exciting up-and-coming americana and country acts.
Now back in the studio, Chaos and the Calm are working on brand-new material—and for the first time, exploring songwriting in Norwegian.
