Lili "Lyricallynn" Forbes is a dynamic, international singer/songwriter from the Caribbean island of St. Maarten. She has written music for plays, musicals, films, TV commercials and has a versatile catalog of songs, short jingles and poetry as a publisher.As a member of the world-renowned Caribbean duo Jumelle - AKA, The Johnson Sisters - Lili has received multiple Caribbean Gospel Marlin Music Awards and touched the world with her powerful poetic sound.
Forbes continues to encourage and captivate hearts globally. In her local community she is a member of Essential, Theatrical Associates, Soul Collective Live, Caribbean Center of South Side Tallahassee, The TLH-St.Maarten Foundation, The Alumni Chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity, and many other community- and faith-based organizations.
In 2019 Lili received recognition as a recipient of the Caribbean-American Heritage Award for her community service contributions in education, music and culture.
Lili is currently engaged in two projects: composing and producing music for 'Underground: the Musical' based on the Emmy Award-winning short film 'Underground' by Akil Dupont, and 'Maggie Never Bitter: the Musical' by Taj Shotwell.
Her latest album “I Won’t Hold Me Back” is now available. Her first book, For All Voices: is set to debut in 2023.
This Friday, she will be backed by an all-star lineup featuring Joel Johnson on guitar, Michael Bakan on drums, and Brian Hall on bass.
