Join the V&A's Glass and Ceramics curator Caroline McCaffrey-Howarth at this Friday Forum to discover the creative uses of glass as a sustainable future material.
Glass crosses the boundaries of craft, science and technology as a material of historical and technological significance. It permeates our everyday lives in visible and invisible ways, from objects at home, to buildings and smart technologies we rely on.
Join artist and researcher Helen Pailing who specialises in re-crafting waste objects through collaborative making, Glass artist Dawn Bendick who uses dichroic glass to heighten our peripheral senses and awareness to seasonal change and Matt Duran, creator of the Waste Glass Heap Manifesto, among others.
Grab a drink with other creative industry professionals to continue the debate and help us celebrate the International Year of Glass 2022 before enjoying the late opening of the V&A.
