🌺 2:00 PM | OFFICIAL WELCOME & KICKOFF
We officially kick off Frida Fest at 2 PM!
Stephanie Osborne, representing New Orleans art, fashion, and self-expression, will open our celebration and introduce New Orleans Mayor Helena Moreno, the first Latina mayor in the history of New Orleans.
As a coach and meditation specialist, Stephanie’s work centers on helping people reconnect with themselves, discover their authentic voice, and move through the world more fully as who they are. It is a fitting connection to Frida Kahlo, a woman whose art, personal style, and extraordinary sense of self became powerful expressions of her identity.
As a Mexican American woman making history in our city, Mayor Moreno’s presence carries special meaning as we gather to celebrate Hispanic Heritage and honor the enduring legacy of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.
Mayor Moreno will offer special welcome remarks before we move into an afternoon of music, culture, art, and celebration.
