Austin High School will be hosting our annual Dawg Camp, or freshman orientation, for the Class of 2028 on Tuesday, July 23rd from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm (noon). We invite all incoming freshman to attend, so that they can get a chance to meet the principals and counselors at AHS, take a tour of the building, participate in fun ice-breakers, see our Club Fair, and enjoy pizza with their friends! Students will also get a chance to see performances from the AHS Cheerleaders and Angels Dance Team.
If you register for Dawg Camp before Friday, July 12th, your child will receive their Class of 2028 t-shirt at freshman orientation. ***If you complete late registration AFTER July 12th, then your child will receive their Class of 2028 t-shirt when school starts in August!***
The $30 Dawg Camp fee includes admission to Dawg Camp from 8:30-11:00 & the Pizza Party Social/Club Fair in the cafeteria from 11:00-noon, as well as a Class of 2028 t-shirt. $10 from the Dawg Camp fee will go to the Class of 2028!
On day of Dawg Camp, students can be dropped off at the cafeteria entrance to the school (enter the student parking lot and drop students off near the auditorium) between 8:30 and 8:45. Parents do not need to attend Dawg Camp with their child! However, parents are invited to the Pizza Party Social/Club Fair from 11:00-noon in the cafeteria. During this time, parents can meet the principals, see the fun clubs that AHS has to offer, and take a brief tour of the school.
