PLAY hosts its first annual Fresh Hop Festival September 18th-21st. Located at 232 West 5th Avenue between Charnelton and Lincoln, Play brings food cart pod/bar to the next level with activities for folks of all ages and special events. PLAY will pour twelve fresh hop beers in the main hall, host live music, face painting and debut the new cocktail menu in the lounge over the course of the weekend. Each day there will be a specialty flight of four fresh hop beers.

Wednesday, September 18th
11am Eight Fresh hop beers will be tapped in the main hall. The bar will offer a flight of four fresh hop offerings.
7pm Pants with Pockets performs live on the patio. Pants with Pockets is a group of Eugene String Queens. Each one of the all female group hail from various local bluegrass groups including Meadow Rue, Cherry Hill and Bake Club.
Thursday, September 19th
11am Four more fresh hop kegs will be tapped in the main hall and a new preset flight will be offered of four unique fresh hop beers.
7pm Meadow Rue performs on the patio. Meadow Rue is a string band out of Oregon's Willamette Valley featuring soaring harmonies and original song writing from Greg Oldson & Sarah Mazze. Jack Wheeler's dobro and Heather Brey's fiddle add layers of joyful and mournful sounds. Steve Korin on upright bass.
Friday, September 20th
11am A new flight of four fresh hop offerings will be offered in the main hall.
5pm Cross Roads Farms will be at PLAY selling their peppers and hot sauce. Cross Roads Farm is the former home to Agrarian Brewing and hop farm. The hop picking parties that they hosted out at the farm inspired this event. Having Cross Roads present is a tribute to the love we at Play have for the contribution to the Eugene craft beer community that Agrarian made over the years.
6pm Chantel Wright, face painter extraordinaire, will be transforming faces into mystical animals on the PLAY patio.
Saturday, September 21st
11am A new flight of four fresh hop offerings will be offered in the main hall.
4pm Autumn cocktail menu debut in the Cocktail Lounge
4-6pm Tasting with Hood River Distillers in the Cocktail Lounge
Expect to see beers from: Breakside, Fort George, Great Notion, Migration, Double Mountain, collaboration beer with Boss Rambler, Boneyard and Barley Browns, Sunriver, Living Haus and Foreland collaboration, Viking Brewing, and more.
What else is happening at PLAY? Pinball machines, shuffleboard, corn hole, and darts just to name some of the ways to stay busy while imbibing or grabbing a bite. In the all ages beer hall there is a kid zone where young humans can find a reading nook, activity table, drawing supplies, play kitchen, and more.
The main features include a J&J Amusements pitching machine with baseball and slow pitch softball functionality and a reservable room dedicated to the state of the art golf simulator.
Four food carts are housed on the sunny, southern exposure patio: Dos Agaves, Kazuji San, Fisherman’s Market Mobile Specials Unit, and Bounty Meat and Cheese. There is a little something for everyone.
