Fresh Comedy @ Blackfriars - Graham Mackie
About this Event
Fresh Comedy @ Blackfriars returns to Glasgow's OG comedy club on Monday 12th October.
This week's headliner is the brilliant Graham Mackie. An absolute stalwart of Scottish comedy throughout his 20+ years on the scene, Mackie is a four-time Scottish Comedian of the Year Finalist who draws material from his upbringing in Govan, his career as a secondary school teacher and all manner of other funny sources.
Our support actis the fabulous Iryna Gil. A star of the Ukrainin stand-up circuit, Gil fled the Russian invasion in 2022 and quickly became a club favourite in Scotland with her sharp observational comedy. A semi-finalist in the prestigious So You Think You're Funny competition, Gil has been described as “One of the best up-and-coming comics of the past five years” (Tearexreviews).
We'll also have sets from some of Scotland's most exciting up-and-coming comedians - all held together by our resident compere Roddy Gordon. It's the best free night out in Glasgow.
Doors 7.45pm, show 8pm.
