French for Beginners - Bury St Edmunds

Course Content:
This course is designed for complete beginners and is ideal for anyone with little or no previous knowledge of French. You will learn the basics of the language in a friendly and supportive environment, building confidence week by week.
The course will focus on developing core skills in speaking, listening and reading so that you can communicate in everyday situations. Topics will include food and drink, accommodation, telling the time, colours, numbers, dates, and describing people and places. Writing activities may be included during lessons, with additional practice often completed at home.
Particular emphasis will be placed on pronunciation and learning useful words and phrases for everyday conversation. Lessons will include a variety of activities and resources, giving you plenty of opportunities to practise your French and develop confidence using the language in real-life situations.
What do I need to bring:
Pen and notebook. The tutor will recommend a chosen course book that you may purchase as a study aid.
Further Course Information:
Our language courses begin with Part 1 in the Autumn term (September) and continue across the academic year with *Part 2 in Spring and *Part 3 in Summer. (*subject to sufficient enrolment numbers)
Each term runs for 10 weeks, and learners will need to enrol separately for each part. Enrolment for future terms will open closer to the start dates.
We offer language classes at different levels. If you're unsure which level is right for you, just get in touch — one of our tutors will be happy to help you find the best fit.

If you are no longer able to attend, please contact us at your earliest convenience. Cancellations received within 2 days of the course start date are non-refundable.
Missed sessions by individual students are non-refundable.
