***DUE TO WEATHER THIS HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY 12/30 12-3PM***While we may tend to refer to all sparkling wine as Champagne - only select wines adhering to specific rules and produced in the French Champagne region can legally claim that moniker.
That said, Champagne was not the first. Oh no. That would be Limoux in the south of France - at least that is the history we are going with.
So lets taste some delicious Blanquette de Limoux (the original sparkling wine) and a variation on that style that is a bit sweeter and lighter on the tongue, a sparkling wine called M L'Ancestral that is made with 100% Mauzac grapes in a demi-sec (medium sweet) style.
These are delicious, fun, affordable, and will make a fantastic impact at gatherings.
You will have everyone asking - what was that and where can we find it?!
