The USC School of Music’s renowned music faculty performs fresh and vibrant chamber music programs that pair canonical masterpieces with new works.Spend an intimate afternoon with our talented faculty! February’s program features a massive lineup of USC faculty and guest musicians, performing a wide range of musical styles.
Lauren Meccia, alto saxophone; Nick Vlandis, piano; Sutton Jenkins, guitar; Wilson Stokes, bass; and Allwyn Edwards, drums, kick off the afternoon with 20 minutes of jazz. Selections include An Old Tale by USC’s Bert Ligon and Prisionero y Princesa by alumnus Christian Moreno Cova, along with a couple of other surprises!
The second part of the program includes soprano Serena Hill-LaRoche, accompanied by Jennifer Parker-Harley on flute and Lynn Kompass on piano; and mezzo-soprano Janet Hopkins, accompanied by Armen Shaomian on piano. The concert will conclude with Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s lush, Romantic Nonet for wind quintet, string trio, and piano, performed by USC faculty and students.
