About this Event

3-Hour Workshop

Date: Saturday, February 25, 2023

Time: 10am-1pm

Description: Freeform crochet is a seemingly random combination of crochet stitches worked to make a piece that is not constrained by patterns, colors, stitches or other limitations. Scrap yarn or yarn leftover from projects can be made into scrumbles or patches that can later be joined together. Yarns of different weights, colors and fiber are often used together.

Expand your creativity in this class which introduces the freeform crochet technique. Participants must know the basic stitched from crochet - single and double crochet. They will learn a variety of additional stitched in crochet to augment their freeform works. Participants will leave with their own first crumble that they can make into a pouch or headband or add to later to make a larger piece.

Tuition: $55 + $10 materials fee

Materials: All materials will be provided.

Location: Contemporary Craft (5645 Butler St., Pittsburgh, PA 15201)

Cancellations and Refunds: Workshop cancellations are decided three business days before the start date. If workshops must be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, the entire class fee will be refunded through Eventbrite, or you may leave your workshop fee in your Contemporary Craft account for future workshops.
