Join pianist Jonathan Levin and operatic tenor Tyrone Chambers for Freedom Vespers: American Portraits, a stirring celebration of American music presented by First Baptist Church and Clayton Piano Festival. This free public concert highlights the richness and diversity of American music through folk songs, spirituals, poetry, musical theatre, jazz influences, original works, and timeless classics. Through music reflecting themes of unity, resilience, struggle, and hope, Jonathan and Tyrone invite audiences on a deeply personal journey through America’s musical heritage while sharing their mission to bring music to underserved communities across the US. Special guests include mezzo soprano Angelique Alexander and organist Maureen Howell. Join us for free Hershey’s ice cream directly afterwards provided by Ronnie's Country Store.
