Freedom Summer 2.0 - Houston
About this Event
Freedom Summer 2.0 is a statewide homecoming. Our movements have always been rooted in both organizing and joy, in strategy and song. From freedom songs to church basements to block parties, the work and the celebration have never been separate.
We're building on the legacy of the original Freedom Summer of 1964, when everyday people organized across the South to fight for voting rights and dignity. Led by the Black Faith Coalition, we're bringing people together this summer across three major Texas cities, Houston, Austin, and Dallas, to learn, organize, and build lasting power for our communities.
This is a full weekend designed to meet you where you are and equip you for what's next. Join us for this 2-day experience at our first stop in Houston!

Friday, July 24th, 5:00PM-10:00PM
