Before the fireworks light up the Houston sky 🎆, we are showing up for the men and women who made that freedom possible.
Join Houston Millennials, VFW Auxiliary Post 8790, and Cloudbreak Communities for our 7th Annual Freedom Lunch, a powerful Independence Day service event dedicated to aging and vulnerable veterans in our community. 🇺🇸
This is not just a cookout. This is gratitude in motion. ❤️
We will prepare and serve 400 plus hotdogs and hamburgers 🍔🌭 for veterans, many of whom carried the weight of service, sacrifice, and country long before most of us understood what freedom really cost.
This is our chance to do more than say thank you.
This is our chance to show up, serve, laugh, connect, and remind our veterans that Houston has not forgotten them. 🙏
🔥 What’s Happening
🍔 400 plus hotdogs and hamburgers grilled and served with care
💦 Live dunk tank featuring HM President Ivan Sanchez
🎶 Live music, DJs, and local entertainers
🎲 Board games and personal connection with veterans

🧼 Toiletry drive for veterans in need

💪 We Need Volunteers
We need people with big hearts, good energy, and ready hands. 🔥
You may be grilling, serving plates, helping with supplies, passing out toiletries, setting up games, welcoming guests, or simply sitting down with a veteran and having a real conversation.
Every role matters. Every smile matters. Every person who shows up helps make this day feel less lonely and more dignified for someone who served this country. ❤️🇺🇸
🧼 Toiletries for Our Heroes
We are also collecting new, unused hygiene and comfort items for veterans in transitional housing. These essentials may seem small, but they help restore dignity, comfort, and care.
Most Requested Items Include:

New socks in white or black, all sizes
New underwear for men and women
Soft T shirts
Lightweight blankets
Washcloths and hand towels
