Freedom Festival Cardboard Boat Regatta

Our Cardboard Boat Regatta event is back again this year as a fan favorite! ⛵Join us at Ellis Park for a competitive race in the water against multiple teams!
The course is an "out and back" circuit from the starting bank, around the designated buoy in Robbins Lake near the community gardens, and back to the starting bank. 🌊The race format will be head-to-head heats of two boats competing against each other. Each run will be timed to completion or to the point the vessel is overcome.
Price to compete: $40/team
Participants must attend the 1:30 PM pre-race meeting, then races will start right at 2 PM.
Ages 16+ are welcome to compete and all MINORS are requried to have a parent or guardian be there to sign a wavier. A team can consist of 2-8 people per boat.
Approved Materials for your boat: carboard, duct tape, packing tape, hot glue & rope or string
Banned Materials: styrofoam, wood, plastic, pretreated or waxed cardboard, and sealants
