Dress in your red, white and blue and jump start your 4th in our 42nd Freedom Classic 5K. Blast off down Midlothian and travel through scenic Loch Lomond and the Keith Mione Community Park in this professionally chip timed course. Post race, participants can cool off in our spray park, grab a patriotic donut and refreshments to fuel up for the rest of your 4th of July engagements. Runners and walkers can register online at mundeleinparks.org. First 300 paid registrants receive a race t-shirt. $100 cash award for 1st overall male and female finishers, as well as medals for 1st–3rd place finishers in each age group.Free 1/2 mile Kids Race (Ages 8 & under) will begin at approximately 9 am. Race to the finish for a icy cold freeze pop & medal.
Note: Registration will end June 30 at 11:59 pm. On-site registration will re-open July 4.
Race Day: Registration will be available in front of the Mundelein Park District building entrance. Time: 6:30–7:45 am
Packet Pickup: Held at the Mundelein Park and Recreation District, 1401 N. Midlothian Rd. Date: July 1–3 at the Customer Service Desk in the Mundelein Community Center
