Free your Mind will dig into the complex world of mental health, as we acknowledge and appreciate the struggle and beauty of being human in today’s world. 1/2 of our profits from this show will be donated directly to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness). They have spearheaded all sorts of work in mental health starting at school age and beyond.We chose this topic for a show because I think it’s important and oh so relevant to our community in and out of the studio. Creating art and movement has been a very wholistic experience for many throughout life, and the process of storytelling through movement is wholly beneficial to our mental health (even when approaching such a serious topic). Putting this show on is not only bringing awareness and funds towards improving the mental health of others, but directly helping and improving the mental health of our performers and aerialists. Movement is our medicine!
Please be aware, we are approaching topics complex metal health topics such as eating disorders, OCD, suicide, and other heavy mental health related topics. We welcome you to consider this when bringing children to the show. We can't wait to share our movement art with you!
