WANTS / NEEDS is a curated concept space created to inspire the community by shedding light on unconventional, unique, and renowned makers and artists. WANTS / NEEDS features an art gallery of rotating shows, as well as a retail shop offering curated vintage and wholesale products, limited edition prints, merchandise, and novelties. The space also functions as a hub for pop-up events, entertainment, workshops, classes, and a place for spiritual practice. WANTS / NEEDS focuses on being an inclusive, welcoming, accessible, and inspirational convergence of creativity while expanding art application, ownership, and appreciation.

Brian Falk PhD, LAc, holds a Master's Degree in Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University in Santa Cruz. Brian also earned a PhD in Depth Psychology with an emphasis in Somatic Studies from Pacifica Graduate Institute.

Brian’s doctoral research took an interdisciplinary approach to investigate the psychology of aromas. His current interests involve writing and teaching about the intersections of Chinese medicine and Depth Psychology, and how each field can inform the other. Past lectures and seminars have included topics such as vision improvement, food as medicine, and using acupuncture and massage for chronic pain. Brian maintains a clinical practice in Ventura, California.

In addition to running his medical clinic, he is a teacher and writer, with an intention to spread Wisdom traditions for the benefit of humanity and Nature.

Lainie is a Virginia Beach native, new to the Ventura area. She holds a Health Science degree with a concentration in Public Health Education from James Madison University. In her studies, Lainie became very passionate about nutrition, growing food, and a holistic health approach. She received her 200 hr RYT certification in Boston, currently teaches yoga in Ventura at Yoga Jones, and is pursuing certification in yoga therapy (C-IAYT). She is passionate about all things health and wellness and when she’s not practicing yoga, Lainie loves cooking, gardening, making art, being in nature, and spending time with loved ones. She is also part of the Dynamic Flow team in Ventura, CA.
