About this Event
Join us as we celebrate Indigenous Peoples' Month with a special workshop and presentation by Rose Powhatan, co-founder and director of the Powhatan Museum of Indigenous Arts and Culture.
A renown artist, historian, and storyteller, Ms. Powhatan is a descendent of the Pamunkey and Tauxenent (Dogue) Indian Tribes of Virginia. She will tell us about the original inhabitants of Falls Church and Fairfax County, what happened to them, how they influenced us, and ways in which we can honor their legacy.
