Join Sanjana for an uplifting, heartwarming song circle experience. Together, we will activate our voices, sing soulful mantra music and traditional Indian bhajans, and find a sweet sisterhood connection. If you have been looking to step into your voice and release any fear or limitation around it, this is the space for you.

This is also the perfect space to connect with other spiritual sisters, make friends, and cultivate inner peace through singing.

In this experience, we will move through:

• 🎶 Vocal toning and chanting to warm up our vocal cords and cultivate inner stillness
• 🕊️ Group singing of mantra music and traditional Indian bhajans where we’ll get to share our unique voice and release any fear we have around singing.

About Sanjana

Sanjana has been an active member of Pilgrimage of the Heart since 2021. After attending a women’s song circle for 6 months to overcome her fear of singing in public, she began hosting her own song circles in 2022 to inspire other women to find their voices.

Since then, Sanjana has been invited to sing at various meditation and concert events at Pilgrimage. She has experience hosting meditation-sound healing events, cacao ceremonies, and women's song circles. Sanjana currently runs a free all women’s choir called Soul Bird Community Choir.

Sanjana is a student of Sri Chinmoy, an Indian spiritual teacher who encourages his students to live dynamic, musical, and creative lives. Sanjana is passionate about blending spirituality and community through her offerings. Currently, Sanjana runs a successful dog training business in San Diego called Peace Pups Dog Training, where she helps humans live more peaceful lives with their pups!

What is the inspiration behind the event?

The inspiration behind this event is something I've witnessed again and again — when women gather to sing, we amplify and uplift one another. For thousands of years, women have been coming together to sing, and this ancient practice of gathering, singing, and experiencing joy together truly has the power to open our hearts. The songs we sing in this space carry the intention of opening our hearts so we can experience the full joy of life.

Singing can also feel scary but when we lean into the discomfort and the curiosity, something truly magical happens within us. This is a safe space to explore your voice without judgement 🧡

Why is this event free?

Sanjana's spiritual teacher, Sri Chinmoy (1931–2007), held over 700 free peace concerts around the world during his lifetime, reaching more than one million people across 100+ countries. All of the meditation and music offerings he offered were free because he believed that spirituality should be accessible to everyone. Sri Chinmoy encouraged his students to carry that same spirit into their own communities.

Sanjana is deeply inspired by his teaching and the songs he has written. She is excited to bring women together to sing and find community.
