'FREE' U.S. HUD Small and Disadvantaged Business Outreach and Training

About Event: In continued efforts to Expand Businesses Opportunities in the City of Jacksonville and surrounding areas, attendees will learn about Federal/State/Community Resources and Programs, Grants and Funding Opportunities that support Workforce Development, Economic Growth and Community Resilience and receive Technical Guidance on how to access agency links inclusive of future events and viable training schedules.

Training Topics:

U.S. Dept. of HUD- Community Development Block Grant (CDBG); Section 3 Program; and Davis Bacon Labor Standards Training for Grants Managers

U.S. Dept. of Labor (DOL)- Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA); and Labor Wage and Hour Division

Small Business Administration (SBA)- Funding Programs; Federal Contracting; Small Business Resources Guide; and Training Opportunities

Florida Commerce- Business Innovation Resources; Rural Initiatives; and Tax Credit Programs

City of Jacksonville- Small & Emerging Business Resources; Citywide Bidding Opportunities; Requirements and Guidelines; and Community Partnerships

Target Attendees: This Training is for Contractors, Subcontractors, Business Leaders and Community Partners

Other Activity: Vender Booths and Network Opportunity in the lobby area directly in front of the auditorium

Directions: The Main Library is located downtown between Laura and Main Streets.

To access the Conference Center/Hicks Auditorium, use the front entrance on Laura Street and proceed down the stairs or follow signage to access elevators .

Parking: Parking meters are located on the north, west, and south sides of the building. There are also plenty of parking options available around downtown near the Main Library.
