Free Urban Hike – Downtown Burj Khalifa - Dubai (Level – Easy)

8:00 PM to 11:00 PM GMT+5 (+-1 HOUR)

The Plan:

In this Urban hike we will be exploring Downtown Dubai areas.

The Hiking distance will be around 9 kms.

anyone including kids and families with normal fitness without any health issues can join this event. (Please read the disclaimer carefully). registering on www.adventurnext.com is compulsory.

Important:

RSVP and subscribe to the event only if you are sure that you will be attending the event. If you failed to update your RSVP and don’t show up to the event it will definitely affect your future participation. no waiting for those who are joining late to the event.

All COVID-19 guidelines and requirements are to be followed at all times before during the Hike and thereafter.

• Wear Mask.
• keep 2 Meter social distance.
• No handshaking.
• Do not attend the event if you have any symptoms of Covid-19 flu a cold sneezing coughing etc.

What to Pack:

Compulsory:

• A backpack.
• At least 1 liter of water (Must) plus other hydration liquids e.g. Laban Lemon Juice POCARI / ISO Star or equivalent for the hike.
• Fruits (Apples oranges and bananas);
• Some light snacks.
• Comfortable walking shoes.
• Comfortable clothing top and bottom. preferably bright-colored no Jeans allowed.

Optional:

• A backpack with shoulder and waist straps.
• you can try your new hiking gear for your comfort.

No Smoking No Alcohol No Pets and No Music are allowed during hikes.

The meeting point and start point will be near to Metro stations.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO RESPECT DIFFERENT CULTURES?

Having lots of different beliefs is a good thing not something to feel confused about. Different cultures benefit lots of people and should be respected. This is because:

• It may upset the person from a different culture. They have grown up believing in a certain set of values and ideas just like their friends and family. To tell them they are wrong is unkind and undermines their whole community.
• Culture is good for bringing people together. Learning about different cultures is fun and interesting and you can often find surprising similarities! It is fascinating to know what someone else may think about something you believe.
• New and useful ideas. Different culture means different approaches to fundamental ideas in your society. A different group might be able to help your community learn something new. They could teach you new languages or new ways to cook food or make clothes.
• A unified country. If people can celebrate their differences they can work together to move forward and develop. They can recognize alternative beliefs and accept them.

The UAE is home to a culturally diverse society. The high numbers representing the country’s expatriate population are evidence of this fact. Native-born citizens comprise only 11% of the country’s population. The majority of the UAE’s residents hail from India (34%) while people from other Arab states make up about 18% of the country’s population. In terms of ethnicity Emiratis South Asians Egyptians Filipinos and “others” account for 11% 59% 10% 6% and 12% of the total population respectively (Jayanthi 2016).

The UAE’s cultural diversity is also evident in the form of official tolerance for other religions. In other words the country’s government allows people the freedom to worship. The UAE’s model for improving religious variety tolerance peaceful coexistence and cultural diversity is the Tolerance Campaign encouraging UAE citizens to accommodate other people’s religious ethnic and cultural differences and to streamline corporate and public policy actions to advance this goal. Official support is evident in the fact that a ministry is tasked with this job.

It is normal to feel confused when you meet someone who has different ideas to you Celebrating diversity is essential to a strong community and nation.

By participating in a Adventur Next event or by failing to notify Adventur Next in writing of your desire to not have your photograph used by Adventur Next you are agreeing to release defend hold harmless and indemnify Adventur Next from any and all claims involving the use of your picture or likeness.
