This 40-hour introductory training covers heavy and light-duty diesel mechanics.
Training modules include hydraulics, drivetrains, fuel systems, exhaust systems, electrical functions, and troubleshooting techniques. Jobsite safety and proper use of tools are also covered.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS for all Heavy Equipment Operators/Mechanic/Service Oilers/Intro to Welding Fabrication Classes
The following documents are required along with this application; priority for selection will be given to those who have turned in everything before selections are made.
1. Copy of birth certificate.
2. Copy of high school diploma or GED certificate.
3. High school transcripts or GED scores.
4. Copy of social security card.
5. Copy of DD214 (Veterans only).
6. Copy of valid driver’s license (must be Alaska driver’s license by start of training).
7. Optional/Recommended: resume, trade school certificates, college transcripts, letters of recommendation, etc.
This FREE, HANDS-ON training opportunity is designed to provide participants with an experiential understanding of a career in the construction trades and to enhance participants' abilities to gain employment within the construction industry.
