Free the Witness is a punk rock band from Asbury Park, NJ. Established in 2019. The band has slowly developed a niche sound that brings an electric blend of all your favorite 90s Epitaph and Fat Wreck bands mixed with the operatic vocals of frontman Jake Bédel-Franklin. Ripping leads of Brandon Bacelo, the frenetic yet harnessed drumming of Jeff Roberts, and what few punk bands boast—a speedy finger-playing bassist in Kyle Crowley. Free the Witness is not looking to reinvent the wheel of punk rock. Simply to be part of something bigger. To be part of a genre that is reigniting, redefining, and ever-expanding. The band brings an incrediblely interactive and youthful liveshow . In which they have most notably played alongside punk rock legends NOFX and Descendents as well as supporting local heavy hitters School Drugs.
