*FREE* - The Big Latch On 2023 - Held at CCE Nassau's East Meadow Farm

Lakeshore and Bethpage Lactation are coming together to celebrate The Global Big Latch On 2023 and hosting their registered event at CCE Nassau's East Meadow Farm.

Global Big Latch On events take place at registered locations around the world, where people gather together to breastfeed and offer peer support to each other.

Their friends, family, and community join this celebration to promote and support breastfeeding. Volunteers from within the community host each location, and hosting a Global Big Latch On event creates a lasting support network for the community.

**Breastfeeding is NOT a requirement to attend**

The Big latch will take place at 10:30 am sharp.

Lakeshore and Bethpage Lactation have joined to ensure the event will be exciting, offering a range of family-friendly activities while promoting what we do as a service and inviting special guests from the community to attend.

Some things you need to know before the event.

1. We all need to be settled with our children by 10:00 am, ready to latch on for the countdown just before 10.30 am.

2. We count all those who attend, all breastfeeding persons, and all those who latch during the latch on. Record information will be posted on the Global Big Latch On Website, Facebook, and Twitter.

3. What is counted as a “latch”?

Latches include – children that are latched, use of a supplemental nursing system or nipple shield, people expressing milk (hand or pump), and children receiving breast milk (expressed milk or donor milk) via an alternative method. If you have a latch, please raise your hand.

4. All participants will need to sign a photo release, the press may be present. We will take all precautions necessary to make everyone feel comfortable. Latching will be done off camera, of course - but we need to see your face, so we know you are you :)
