Why Learn Tango?
Argentine tango is the most awesome partner dance ever - for mind, body and soul! It's a great way of meeting new people and adding some spice to your social life - you can dance every night of the week in Sydney's vibrant tango community.
What to Expect:
This fun, hands-on introduction to Argentine tango will get you moving! You’ll learn some basic steps to get you on the dance floor, while also experiencing the rich music and vibrant culture of tango.
Who Is This Suited For?
No need to worry if you think you have “two left feet” or no rhythm—many of Sydney’s top dancers started out with the same belief! This class is for absolute beginners and anyone ready to give tango a try.
Progression:
The trial class coincides with the start of our Beginners' Course (same time and location on Mondays). If you enjoy the experience, you can easily enrol for the remaining lessons, which culminate in a fun tango party! Plus, you'll get a special discounted rate for attending the trial class.
What to Bring:
No special attire or shoes required but avoid shoes with too much grip for ease of movement.
Bring your sense of fun and curiosity - that’s the most important thing!
Getting There:
The hall is just a 5-minute walk from North Sydney Station.
It’s located between Lavender and Blue Streets, in a red brick building next to an open car park. Please note: the car park is for residential use only, so kindly avoid parking there.
Free parking is available after 6 PM on Blues Point Road and surrounding streets, which are in the residential area of North Sydney.
About Us:
Your instructors Sophia (a national tango champion, teaching tango since 2001) and Pablito have a combined tango experience of over 40 years!
