Discover the joy of swing dancing at our Free Swing Team Workshop! Join celebrated instructors Matt Richey and Kelly Young for an afternoon of fun, learning, and dance. This workshop is open to everyone, making it the perfect opportunity for dancers of all levels to learn iconic routines like the California Routine and Tranky Doo. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced dancer, Matt and Kelly will teach you performance techniques to enhance your skills and boost your confidence. This workshop also doubles as a preparation session for those interested in our swing dance team. Don't miss out on this exciting chance to dance, grow, and possibly become part of our team! Here's how you can join in on the fun:
• Attend the Free Swing Team Workshop:
Join us on Sat., Jan. 18th 12:15-3:15 pm to learn the two audition routines (The California Routine & Tranky Doo) from the amazing Matt and Kelly. It's a great way to get started and meet fellow dancers.
• Practice:
Take some time to practice the routines as much as you can. The more you practice, the more confident you'll feel!
• Audition Day:
Come to the audition on Wed., Jan. 29th from 6:15-7:45 pm. The audition will run like a normal rehearsal. Then run the routines for a final audition in the last 20 minutes. Show us what you've learned and have fun with it!
• Results:
After the audition, you'll receive an email with your results. If you're accepted, congratulations! You're in!
• Rehearsals:
Our first rehearsal will be on Wed., Feb. 5th (6:15-7:45 pm). We will continue our rehearsals every Wednesday at the same time moving forward.
• Team Dues:
To be a part of the team you will have to pay $99 a month.
