☀️ FREE Summer Family Cookery, Craft & Activity Sessions
Join the Forward Project at Layton Methodist for free, fun-filled summer sessions for you and your children.
Each two-hour session will include a mixture of:
🍳 Family cookery
🎨 Crafts and creative activities
🎲 Games and family fun
🤝 Opportunities to meet other local families
Active Blackpool will also join our Wednesday sessions with additional active games and activities for families to enjoy together.
The sessions are relaxed, welcoming and suitable for families with children aged 4 and over.
Session times
Wednesdays: 10am–12 noon
Family cookery, crafts and activities, plus additional sessions from Active Blackpool.
Thursdays: 9.30am–11.30am
Family cookery, crafts and activities.
Running weekly until Thursday 27 August 2026.
👶 Children under 4
The main cookery, craft and activity sessions are for children aged 4 and over.
A limited number of crèche places are available for children under 4 in the Ofsted-registered nursery on site. Children using the crèche will remain in the nursery while their parent or carer attends the session with their older children.
Crèche places must be requested when booking and are subject to availability. Please only request a place if you are comfortable leaving your child with the nursery team during the session.
🎟️ Booking information
Sessions must be booked one week at a time. Tickets for each week will be released on Eventbrite one week before the sessions take place.
Please select either the Wednesday or Thursday session when booking.
Spaces are limited, so please only book sessions you are able to attend. Should your plans change, please cancel your tickets so another family can take part.
