Free Street Family Dinner

Family Dinner: For many years, FST's artists have called themselves "Free Street Family." Whether someone has worked box office, been an actor, designer, or donor, we want to commune our family to celebrate the all work we've done, and cheers to what's next. As the kick off to our 26-27 season, we welcome you to our storefront space to hear from our leadership team, chat with each other, and share a meal. Whether you're already a part of the family, or want to join, this event is for you.

Speakers: The evening will kick off with a season announcement from Producing Artisitic Director Katrina Dion, followed by remarks from our Strategic Director Coya Paz, Managing Director Isabella Pelz, and presentation prepared by our Director of Community Impact & Individual Giving, Elizabeth Nungaray.

What Your Ticket Supports: Tickets bought for this event go right back to Free Street artists. At Free Street, we believe in economic justice, which, for us, means making all of our shows pay-what-you-can & paying our artists minimum wage for their time on-site. This is a radical notion in a city where most artists make under $5/hour for their time, and shows average above $50/seat minimum. In short, your ticket invests in our season, artists and Chicago.

About Free Street: Since 1969, Free Street has been at the forefront of the movement for inclusive + innovative theatre. Free Street is a femme-led arts and culture organization that centers original performance work by Black, Brown, and Immigrant communities; queer artists; youth artists; and work that is committed to the thriving and well-being of people on the South and West Sides of the city. We believe in the theater as a space to uplift joy and justice, especially racial, economic, and environmental justice in Chicago.
