The Rosetown Ramblers offer Square Dance lessons twice a year at the Bridgeport UCC located at 621 NE 76th Avenue in Portland, Wednesdays, Sept.–Dec. and Jan.–April.
The first two lessons—on January 15th and 22nd—are free to give Square Dancing a try and vibe check. Lessons continue every Wednesday till December or June.
The full Square Dance series costs $100 for the year which includes the two sessions (starting in either Sept. or Jan.)—over 24 classes, ten monthly social dances, club badge and membership. We start promptly at 7P, reviewing and learning new calls until 8:30P.
All dancers are welcome at Rosetown Ramblers’ events; there’s no dress code or partner required to dance. We teach Social Square Dance (SSD), a part of Modern Square Dancing with an emphasis on having fun. After our lessons, students should be able to Square Dance anywhere.
