Topic: Free Spring Cooking Demo with MSUe
Join MSU educators, Jane Rapin & Michelle Smith for an on-site cooking demonstration! Jane and Michelle will highlight a spring time recipe (TBD). The demonstration will be followed by samples to taste. Children are welcome to attend also. Handouts will be provided. This is a free event but space is limited and on-line registration is required.
This is a FREE event, but registration is required and enrollment is limited.
About our Instructors
Jane Rapin is a Community Nutrition Instructor with Michigan State University's Grand Traverse County Extension Office. She works within the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program in District 3, covering Leelanau and Grand Traverse counties. Jane is a Registered Dietician and Certified Diabetes Educator with a 20-year career in the nutrition field. She loves helping others learn new skills that empower them to try new foods.
Michelle Smith also works within the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program through MSU's Grand Traverse County Extension Office, covering Grand Traverse, Antrim, and Kalkaska counties. As a Community Instructor, she teaches youth and adults how to eat and cook healthy while staying on a budget. Michelle has been with MSU Extension since 2012.
