Join us for a FREE event in recognition of Earth Day. On Sunday April 21, see the new short film "ᏗᏂᏠᎯ ᎤᏪᏯ (Meet Me at the Creek)" from Loren Waters (Cherokee and Kiowa) followed by the acclaimed feature "Dark Waters" and learn about how you can get involved with local conservation efforts during a post-film panel discussion. The event begins with a reception at 1:30pm featuring complimentary light bites and drinks on sale at the bar. TAARA will have materials available during the reception for more about their mission to protect and restore the Arkansas River and the natural communities dependent on it. The films will screen at 2pm, followed by a discussion moderated by Bert Fisher (Managing Principal at Lithochimeia, LLC & Partner at IMMIX Environmental Services) with special guests Loren Waters ("Meet Me at the Creek" filmmaker), Molly Bullock (investigative journalist and founder of 'Watershed'), Charles Pratt (President of Quadrelec Engineering Corp.), Rebecca Jim (founder of Local Environmental Action Demanded Northeast Oklahoma), Pam Kingfisher (organic farmer and Director of Indigenous Women's Network).
