This event is designed for children with physical disabilities, down syndrome or level 3 autism. Please read and complete the entire sign-up packet that will be emailed to you when you sign up.At our ranch, we strongly believe in the profound impact that animals can have on individuals. They offer unconditional love, kindness, and a non-judgmental presence to everyone they encounter. In particular, we have created a special space for children with Down syndrome and autism to freely express themselves and explore at their own pace.
Through interacting with our animals, these children have the opportunity to learn valuable life lessons such as love, trust, and responsibility. The animals also provide them with a sense of connection and belonging. It is truly heartwarming to witness these children as they pet, brush, and interact with these living beings.
During our event, there will be a variety of activities available for the children to enjoy. They can visit our petting zoo, take hay rides, engage in arts and crafts painting, participate in field games, go for pony rides or watch a horse show, visit the horse stables, gather around a fire-pit for s'mores, explore our friendship tree, and even have the chance to see our giant tortoise exhibit.
It is important for parents to carefully consider their child's specific needs before signing up for this event. There will be loud noises and high levels of stimuli, so it is crucial to ensure that their child is comfortable in such an environment. We are limiting the number of participants to 20 children with special needs to ensure that each child has the opportunity to fully engage with our farm animals and participate in the activities as much as they wish.
Please note that this event is not a therapy session. We want to clarify that we are not physicians, therapists, or counselors. By attending, participants and their families accept and waive all liability, holding the hosts harmless from any accidents, injuries, or unfortunate incidents that may occur during the event.
To secure a spot for your child, please make sure to call or message us in advance. Walk-ins and unregistered visitors will not be accepted, as we want to ensure a safe and organized experience for all participants. Additionally, please be aware that pony and horse rides are subject to weather conditions.
