Join us for Sidewalk Sessions on 7th Street brought to you by 7th West and 7th Street Thrives (A local coalition led by East Bay Permanent Real Estate Cooperative, Esther's Orbit Room, Bay Area LISC, and Alliance for Community Development). This live performance series is all about celebrating the heart and soul of West Oakland through artistic performance, music, and a strong sense of community. We’re part of the Activate Oakland Event series, and we're all about showcasing the incredible local talent in a laid-back, fun atmosphere.

• Live Music and Performances: Kick back and enjoy live tunes and performances from a mix of local artists, musicians, comedians, choreographers and poets. Each session promises something different, so you’re in for a treat!

7th Street Thrives:

7th Street Thrives is a community collective working to rejuvenate 7th Street as a black business, arts, and cultural district, and honor its rich legacy. This will be accomplished by supporting the sustained activation of underutilized commercial space, providing business technical assistance to Black and People of Color businesses, and reviving the community character of the 7th Street corridor through local event activations and community outings. • Lionel Queen - Based in Oakland, Lionel Queen is a dynamic force within the Bay Area's vibrant music scene. With over a decade of experience, Lionel brings an eclectic blend of R&B, House, Pop, Amapiano & Disco to dance floors in clubs, bars, and private events throughout the region. His seamless fusion of new hits, old favorites, and rare grooves unite people from all walks of life in a shared celebration of rhythm and harmony.
  

• Hugo de la Lune is a collaborative project consisting of the duo Nate Burns and Ephraim Getahun. Incorporating Nate's jazz and blues-infused rhythmic guitar and Ephraim's haunting afro-soul vocals, they have created a sound uniquely their own; music riddled with incantations and spells. Enter down the rabbit hole.
