Casual Country are some of Marin county's finest musicians, many of which hail from being former house musicians at Phil Lesh's legendary Terrapin Crossroads, coming together to bring their brand of high energy country music to the stage. Casual Country draw their country influences from traditional Texas swing to cosmic country, incorporating songs from the past as well as modern day, with some surprises. For this show only, the band will perform a set of countrified songs from the Grateful Dead repertoire along with a set of country classics!Casual Country are an off shoot of the band "Casual Coalition" spearheaded by multi-instrumentalist/singer-songwriter Craig MacArthur & multi-instrumentalist/engineer-producer David Simon-Baker, who lead both the live & studio bands. The band regularly features a slew of talented local Bay Area musicians, which have included Chuck Prophet, The Mother Hips, Stu Allen (Phil Lesh & Friends, Mars Hotel), Dan “LEBO” Lebowitz & Steve Adams (of ALO), Mark Karan (Ratdog, Phil Lesh & Friends), Reed Mathis (Electric Beethoven), Danny Eisenberg (The Mother Hips, Ryan Adams, Counting Crows) & many more!
