Kyle Micho is a 25-year-old songwriter from Syracuse, New York. He started writing songs at age 11, and although he was recording demos right away, he didn’t work up the courage to play his songs for anybody until the tenth grade school talent show. Since then, his work has been heavily influenced by experimental artists like Jack Kerouac, Kurt Cobain, Elliott Smith, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, The Velvet Underground, and The Grateful Dead.
Kyle spent the majority of 2023 traveling the country with his partner Emma, taking care of strangers’ homes and cats as a means to explore, learn, and grow. His latest album, “You,” was recorded DIY-style on the road. It represents the crystallization of the lessons learned over the past four years as a human radio antenna and creator of form in his various homes in Syracuse, New York City, Woodstock, Nashville, Oregon, and Kansas.
