How was the birth of your baby?

Many mothers struggle with the answer to that question. They feel grateful to have their baby, but the memories of the birth often keep coming back. They might be angry, or sad, or guilty, or ashamed that they did something wrong, didn't try hard enough. They may be suffering physical as well as emotional pain.
All these feelings are valid. Birth trauma has been in the news a lot recently. It's something we at Mothers Uncovered are well aware of. A traumatic birth can impact a mother for a long time, meaning her transition into motherhood (matrescence) is that much harder.
We are running three sessions for mothers to come together to share their stories. Led by our peer supporters, these sessions are suitable for all experiences of birth.
Upcoming Group Sessions:
21st June @ 12-2 pm
28th June @ 12-2 pm
12th July @ 12-2 pm
Location:
Tarner Family Hub, Ivory Place, BN2 9QE
Free to attend
This is for any stage of motherhood and not just for first-time mums. Please share with any mothers you know if you feel they'd benefit.
Babies of up to 15 months can be brought to the session and mothers can attend as many of the sessions as they would like.
