FREE Self-Defence Workshop – Canterbury
About this Event
Do you feel confident that you would know what to do if a situation suddenly became threatening?
On Friday 18 September, AMK Krav Maga is opening its Canterbury training centre for a completely FREE community self-defence workshop.
This session is designed for ordinary people — you do not need to be fit, experienced or have any previous martial arts or self-defence training.
During the workshop, our instructors will introduce practical skills and principles that can help you recognise danger earlier, respond under pressure and protect yourself if a situation becomes physical.
We’ll look at areas including:
- Situational awareness and recognising potential threats
- Creating distance and avoiding confrontation
- Using your voice and setting boundaries
- Simple, practical striking
- Escaping common grabs and attacks
- What to do if somebody becomes aggressive
- Building confidence under pressure
This isn't about learning complicated martial arts techniques. The aim is to give you realistic, usable skills and a better understanding of how to keep yourself safe.
Who is it for?
The workshop is suitable for anyone aged 18+.
You don't need:
- Any previous experience
- A particular level of fitness
- To already train at AMK Krav Maga
Just come along in comfortable clothes you can move in.
