About this Event

While battling a severe, degenerative spinal condition, tough as nails Marieke Vervoort made headlines by securing her legal right to euthanasia in Belgium. Paradoxically, knowing she had control over her pain gave her the psychological peace of mind to keep living an action packed life—and she went on to win her fourth Paralympic gold medal before eventually choosing her time and place to die.

Film Director Pola Rapaport will join us via Zoom for Q&A immediately after the 1 hr. 25 min. film brought to you by the Hemlock Society of San Diego.
