Texas Coalition for Animal Protection will be on site for FREE rabies vaccinations for dogs and cats of Denton County residents sponsored by the Denton Animal Support Foundation. Other vaccinations and preventatives such as flea/tick, heartworm prevention, dewormer, microchips, and more will be available for purchase. Please check out the TCAP website for pricing information. www.texasforthem.org. Here are the ground rules:
All pets must be on a leash or in a carrier
If your pet cannot safely be handled by TCAP staff, they may decline services for your pet.
Please keep a safe distance between the pets around you. Do not allow nose-to-nose contact with other pets.
Please do not place young, unvaccinated puppies on the ground.
There will be a line. Please be patient and bring water for both you and your pet, a hat, sunscreen, etc. We will move everyone through as quickly as possible.
Free rabies vaccinations are for residents of Denton County only.
Free vaccinations will not be provided for breeders or pets intended for sale.
Parking in the grass along the driveway is permitted (if NOT wet and raining) or you may park at the Vela Sports Complex and walk over.
You must be in line no later than 12pm in order for your pet to receive services.
