A free public forum about the Tulsa Public Schools bond package on the ballot April 7
Tulsa Public Schools Superintendent Ebony Johnson will be on stage Tuesday, March 10, answering questions from local journalists about the $609 million bond package that is on the ballot April 7.
The five-year bond package includes:
- $200.9 million for instructional materials, fine arts and athletics
- $276 million for building improvements and safety upgrades
- $104.7 million for technology needs
- $27.2 million for transportation
If approved, the proposal would not increase taxes.
The free event is Tuesday, March 10, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the home of the Tulsa Flyer newsroom, 101 Archer building in downtown Tulsa, 101 E. Archer St. Doors open at 5 p.m. Seating is on the first floor and second floor mezzanine.
Also on the ballot on April 7 is the election of the TPS District 4 and 7 school board members. Those candidates have been invited to set up in the lobby of the event before the forum starts to meet the public.
