A free recital of organ music on our fine Rushworth and Dreaper pipe organ in the fine acoustic and ambiance of our Victorian Gothic Church
About this Event

This recital by James Lancelot is part of our monthly series of recitals by organists associated with Victorian Gothic churches designed, like ours, by architect John Loughborough Pearson.

Free admission with a retiring collection in aid of our Organ Fund. (Renewal of the leather work is needed soon rather than later to keep our fine Rushworth and Dreaper instrument in good order.)

Canon Organist Emeritus of Durham Cathedral, James Lancelot, played for services at both St Alban the Martyr and St Patrick's when his father was Assistant Priest at St Patrick's Frank Street.

Programme:
Prelude and fugue in B Minor BWV544 by J.S. Bach
Fugue in the name B A C H, Op. 60 No. 3 by Robert Schumann
Introduction and Passacaglia in E Minor (Sonata No. 8, Op132) by Josef Rheinberger
Chorale Prelude on the melody Quem pastores by James Healy Willan
Postlude pour l'Office de Complies JA 29 by Jehan Alain
Sonata No. 2 in D Op. 50 by Felix-Alexandre Guilmant
Free admission with a retiring collection for our Organ Fund.
