Join us for Session #1 of this three-part estate planning series in West Hartford. In the first session, Attorney Jeff Rivard will explain important estate planning documents like Wills, powers of attorney, advance directives, and trusts, and the purpose and powers included in each. Furthermore, you'll learn what happens if you don’t have a Will when you pass away, how your estate gets divided amongst your heirs, how to choose your power of attorney and health care agents, and some common estate planning mistakes that you will want to avoid. Even if you have already created an estate plan, discover when and if you should have your existing documents reviewed and updated.
Lunch will be available at noon, with the presentation to begin at 12:30 PM. (Please note that there is no cost to attend the program but there is a small fee for parking.)
