Who are these events for?
These one-hour sessions are available to all adults and for children aged from six years old and upwards who are interested in trying out a potential new hobby. Everyone is welcome however experience has taught us that these introductory events have typically proved absolutely brilliant for children between the ages of 7 and 15. Children under the age of six must not be booked in separately; but should usually be able to have a quick taster by sharing a slot on the day with an older sibling or parent. If this option is exercised, a paper consent form will need to be completed on the day. When we are not fully booked, we will allow walk-in participants on the same basis.
Cost of Event
This event is free for all participants who attend on the day. However, if you have booked on, subsequently fail to cancel and simply don’t show up on the day, you are liable to be invoiced for the standard £50.00 administration fee, chargeable for each ticket booked.
Therefore, if your circumstances do suddenly change and you find you are no longer able to attend, you must cancel using one of these three mechanisms:
• 1 The preferred method is via the Eventbrite ticket booking system using the link that you can find on your ticket. This can be found at the bottom of your ticket and has a link directly to “cancel my ticket”.
• 2 By email [email protected] giving details of date, time, venue and participants in your email message. Don’t email if within than 48hours of the event, instead please use option 1 above or in an emergency 3 below.
• 3 In the event of an unforeseen emergency within 48 hours of the event, by telephoning the lead coach named in your final reminder email which will have been sent to you approximately 48 hours before the commencement of event.
We ask for your co-operation in this matter. This will allow others who would otherwise have regrettably missed out due to lack of space, the opportunity to attend this event.
Covid-19 Guidelines
If you have Covid-19 symptoms or if you have been told to self-isolate, you must not attend. Please cancel your ticket as set out above. For your safety, fishing equipment will be cleaned between sessions. Latest government guideless around Covid will apply to the Let’s Fish programme.
Commonwealth Games Regional Celebration events
