FREE Legal Aid Housing and Education Clinic

Join us on Tuesday, September 22nd from 3-5pm for a FREE Legal Aid Housing and Education clinic at our Downtown Norfolk office! If you qualify for our services, you are guaranteed to receive SAME DAY advice from an attorney related to your housing or education matter.
Receive SAME DAY advice on housing matters including evictions, poor conditions in your home, issues with your Section 8 voucher including inaccurate rent calculations, housing denials, reasonable accommodations for disabilities and housing matters related to domestic violence. We will also provide advice on education matters such as IEPs and 504s, truancy and MDR/disciplinary hearings.
We will have LIMITED phone slots available for individuals who are not able to attend in person. Telephonic availability is first-come, first-served. Applications related to matters outside of housing and education will not be accepted - please call during regular intake hours. During clinic hours, please call 757-827-5078 to speak with an intake representative.
This clinic is for legal assistance only. We are not able to assist with locating housing or placing individuals in affordable housing. We are not able to provide monetary assistance for rent.
There is no pre-registration required. Guests will complete an eligibility screening at the event. LASEV serves low-income Virginians in civil matters ONLY. You must qualify for services to speak with an attorney.
