Join artist Tara Fahey at Seward Cafe for a hands-on workshop where you’ll create a beautiful paper lantern to celebrate our local freshwater ecosystems. You’ll be guided through the process of building a layered paper landscape depicting urban biodiversity, using various types of paper and detailed cutouts of local life forms found in our watersheds to create a unique scene. We’ll provide a battery-powered light to illuminate your finished lantern.
Ready to show off your creation? You’re invited to bring your lantern to the Radiant Waves Lantern Bike Parade on September 27th. The parade kicks off at the Venture Bikes/11th Street entrance on the Midtown Greenway.
